DR. PAVAN MAMILLA
Dr. Pavan Mamilla hails from Andhra Pradesh, India. He earned his medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College and completed his residency at East Tennessee State University.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Mamilla has held various positions, including Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine and Hospitalist Medical Director. As a former assistant professor at UAB, he has trained numerous doctors and medical students, focusing on innovative teaching methods.
Dr. Mamilla’s expertise encompasses preventive care, procedures, and radiology, enabling him to provide comprehensive care for both children and adults. He emphasizes addressing the root cause of medical issues and integrating lifestyle changes into treatment plans to minimize medication usage whenever possible.
His practice offers a wide range of services, including annual physicals, DOT exams, immigration physicals, and contraception management. Dr. Mamilla prioritizes family time with his two children and enjoys cooking in his free time.
Starting August 1st, 2021, Dr. Mamilla will be joining Metro Medical Associates alongside his wife, Dr. Swetha Addagatla, to provide holistic medical care to families. He is fluent in English, Telugu, and Hindi.
DR. SWETHA ADDAGATLA
BOARD CERTIFIED IN FAMILY MEDICINE AND OBESITY MEDICINE
Dr. Addy joined Metro Medical Associates in May 2021. Originally from Hyderabad, she now calls Atlanta, GA, her hometown. Dr. Addy graduated from Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupathi, India. She completed her family medicine residency at the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and is board certified in Family Medicine.
Following her residency, Dr. Addy began her career as a primary care physician in Sugar Hill, GA. During her practice, she developed a special interest in obesity, recognizing its significant impact on chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. Pursuing her passion, she obtained fellowship training and is now certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Addy specializes in medical weight loss treatment.
As a family physician, Dr. Addy provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including women’s health services such as PAP smears and DOT certifications. She is also certified in Nexplanon implantation for birth control.
In her leisure time, Dr. Addy enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with her family. Fluent in English, Telugu, and Hindi, Dr. Addy looks forward to caring for you and your family at Metro Medical Associates.
